Terms of Service

Last updated October 20, 2026

Draft template. Set LEGAL_ENTITY_NAME, LEGAL_CONTACT_EMAIL, LEGAL_ADDRESS and LEGAL_JURISDICTION and have a lawyer review this text before launch. It is not legal advice.

These terms govern use of BookingPortal, a lemonade.lifestyle product provided by [Your company name] (“we”), by businesses that sign up (“you”) and their staff. Customers who simply book an appointment with a business are not parties to these terms; the business's own terms apply to them.

1. Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and are responsible for everything done through your account and for the people you invite. The owner is responsible for managing team access. You must be able to form a binding contract.

2. The service

BookingPortal lets you publish a booking page, manage services, staff and schedules, and take bookings. We may improve, change or suspend features, and aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

3. Your customers' data

You are the controller of your customers' personal data and we process it on your behalf under our Privacy Policy. You must have a lawful basis to collect it, give your customers the required notices, honour their requests (the admin area provides export and erasure tools) and not use the service to send unsolicited messages.

4. Acceptable use

Do not break the law, infringe others' rights, probe or disrupt the service, circumvent limits or security, scrape other businesses' data, or use the service to send spam or harmful content. We may suspend accounts that put the service or others at risk.

5. Payments

Deposits are processed by Stripe through your own connected Stripe account, under Stripe's terms. You are the seller to your customers; we are not a party to those transactions and do not hold your funds. You are responsible for refunds, taxes and chargebacks.

6. Fees

Any plan fees will be shown before you are charged. Taxes may apply.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of the content and data you put into the service and give us the right to host and process it to provide the service. You can export your data at any time and delete your account, which permanently deletes it.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or missed appointments, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Ending these terms

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms, with notice where practical.

10. General

These terms are governed by the laws of [Your jurisdiction, e.g. Ontario, Canada]. We may update them; for material changes we will ask you to accept the new version. Contact: privacy@example.com.
